Today, many believers are scared to use the “F” word, but FORGIVNESS is crucial to your walk with Christ. Life will present you with countless opportunities to retaliate or fight back against something or someone.  Injustice is as inevitable as change is, and when we are approached with people or situations that hurt or harm us, we need to use that “F” word – FORGIVE!

We cannot control others and what they do to us, but we can count on the Lord and His ability to take a hard situation and turn it around for the glory of His kingdom.  What may seem like an impossible situation now, He can surely turn around for us.  They key is not take it in our own hands, but to trust in Him. The bible instructs us to walk in love with everyone we meet. We are not to judge or seek revenge when we are wronged. This is a hard lesson to learn.

I am sure you reading this blog now can think of at least one person who has wronged you, at least one person who has hurt you.  While some circumstances may be worse than others, we are all encouraged by the Lord to turn the other cheek and walk in love. You cannot allow bitterness and anger to take place in your heart. God knows your story. He knows what you have been through and what you are going through. Focus your strengths and efforts on your own healing through a relationship with Christ; do not concern yourself with revenge or retaliation. God will fight your battle for you.

You are a winner!  He will take you from victim to victor, but you must trust in Him.  Remember, we all fall short of the Glory of God.  Sin is sin; it does not matter if you are a thief or a liar, it does not matter what that person did, everyone is in need of God’s love and forgiveness. God forgave you of your sins. He washed you and made you whole again.  It’s the same love He wants you to give others. Don’t try and fight the battle on your own, the battle is the Lord’s. Instead, walk in God’s love.

Be quick to forgive and ask God for his divine wisdom so that you can move on from situations, relationships, or environments that cause you harm.  God bless!

A Job29 Man: Blog by Pastor Sabra Johnson

There are so many ideas about the perfect man. Society wants to bombard your mind with images and ideas of what the perfect man should be, but really what is the perfect man?  I turn to the biblical scriptures to examine the life of Job. After meditating on God’s word, I have decided there is nothing better than a Job 29 Man! Even in the face of great adversity, having lost all he had, covered in sores, he did not renounce God.  He pressed on, and even though he did not know his future, only his circumstance, God had great plans for him.

I don’t know what you are going through, I don’t know where you are today, but I can tell you that God has great plans for you.  Make the decision today to be a Job 29 Man.  You have every strategy needed to position yourself for a life of success and happiness.  I encourage you to embrace the characteristics of a Job 29 man: (1) trust in the Lord to see you through challenges, (2) rise above the negativity of others, (3) only dwell on positive thoughts, (4) when all else fails, prayer works!
